The Hats represent your experience. You can obtain them by upgrading your recipes in the Recipes tab, and your restaurant in the Restaurant tab.

As you gain more hats, your progress will increase, unlocking new rewards and features! To see your current progress, enter the Chef’s Gallery by tapping the Hat icon.
